Washington DC Cherry Blossom Pictures 2012

Last weekend my wife and I spend 2 days in Washington DC. We had heard that the cherry blossoms were near peak so were excited to get out there and see them.

The day we arrived, a series of thunderstorms moved into the area and knocked many of the blossoms out of the trees before we could see them but we did not let that stop us. We headed out on Sunday morning for a few hours and found a few trees that were still looking beautiful.

Here are a few photos from our recent trip to Washington DC……I can’t wait to go back there this fall!

The Jefferson Memorial and Cherry Blossoms…

Here is a tree we found near the US Capitol Building…

Right as we were leaving, this robin landed and posed for a few shots…

This one was near the tidal basin…

A few flower displays we found in the gardens by The Capitol…

The Lincoln Memorial…

The Washington Monument at night, in the fog, made for some pretty light…

Check out my other work if you have a minute…
